Leather World Technologies Leather/Vinyl Top Coat is a professional-grade, water-based protective finish designed for pigmented (protected) leather, vinyl, and other coated interior surfaces. It adds durability over newly applied color while restoring a smooth, factory-like feel to worn finishes.
Whether you're protecting a fresh restoration or refreshing an existing clear finish, our Top Coat helps improve resistance to everyday wear, abrasion, and routine cleaning while allowing you to match the original sheen of your leather or vinyl.
Select the finish that best matches your original leather or vinyl:
Matte: Virtually no surface gloss for modern interiors and ultra-low sheen applications.
Satin - Low Gloss: Our most popular finish and the closest match for most OEM automotive leather. Adds a touch of sheen to the finish so it's not completely flat.
Semi-Gloss: Adds a moderate sheen while maintaining a natural appearance. Usually a safe choice when matching pigmented leather or vinyl furniture.
High Gloss: High-shine finish commonly used for specialty applications and select factory interiors.
Tip: All four finishes can be mixed together to create a custom sheen. This makes it easy to fine-tune the final appearance when your original leather or vinyl falls between two standard gloss levels.
Leather/Vinyl Top Coat is designed to be applied over Leather World Technologies Leather Dye Colorant or Base Coat after the color has dried for 24 hours.
Important: The High Gloss finish must be spray applied to achieve a smooth, uniform appearance. Because the gloss formulation has a much lower viscosity than the other sheen levels, hand application with a sponge or applicator can cause the coating to contract during drying, resulting in an uneven finish.
