Frequently Asked Questions

Can I change from black to red (or vice versa)?

Yes, both direction changes are fully doable. Dark-to-light and high saturation colors may need a few extra coats, but you can achieve an even, factory-style finish in either direction.

Is this a dye or paint?

Neither. It's a high-flex urethane coating made for pigmented leather, vinyl, and plastic. It bonds to the surface, flexes with it, and cures into a thin, durable finish similar to what’s used on OEM interiors.

Will it crack or peel?

No. When applied to a properly cleaned surface, the coating flexes like an OEM finish and won’t crack or peel. For long-term durability, stick to water-based cleaners and conditioners, since the system itself is water-based.

How long does the process take?

Small projects can be done in a few hours, but medium to large jobs often take several days, especially for first-time users. It’s best to take the process one step at a time to ensure proper prep, coverage, and drying.

What’s the difference between the Heritage and Showroom Series?

Heritage is matched to factory-original OEM colors for accurate restorations. Showroom offers brighter, modern, custom-focused colors designed for standout, non-OEM looks. Both use the same professional-grade system—just different color palettes.
