Heat-Cured Vinyl Filler – Maximum Strength for Large-Scale Repairs

Our most durable filler. Engineered for vinyl. Compatible with leather. Built to last.

The Leather Vinyl Filler – Heat Cured is a heavy-duty, high-performance compound designed for major repair jobs on vinyl and leather. Best suited for large holes, rips, and tears over 4 inches, this professional-grade filler must be heat cured using a heat gun or heating iron capable of reaching 250–300°F. Once cured, it delivers maximum adhesion and durability, making it ideal for high-stress areas where long-term performance is critical.

  • ✅ Heat-Cure Required – Must be cured with a heat gun or heating iron (250–300°F)
  • ✅ Heavy-Duty Performance – Best for major damage: large holes, rips, and tears
  • ✅ Excellent for Vinyl – Specifically formulated for vinyl, but also compatible with leather
  • ✅ Accepts Grain Molds – Press grain paper or a grain mold during curing for a textured finish
  • ✅ Dye-Compatible – Accepts Leather Dye Colorant after curing
  • ✅ High Bond Strength – Designed for permanent repairs that won’t crack or peel
  • ⚠️ Not Sandable – Apply as evenly as possible to ensure a smooth finish

How to Use: Quick Application Guide

  1. Prep the Surface: Use Color Prep & Cleaner to remove dirt, oils, or residue.
  2. Apply Filler: Use a palette knife to apply a light and even layer across the damaged area. Smooth as much as possible—cannot be sanded.
  3. Heat Cure: Use a heat gun or heating iron at 250–300°F to cure the applied Vinyl Filler coat. Filler will dry clear and feel "rubbery" once cured.
  4. Repeat until filler is built-up and even with the surrounding material.
  5. Apply Grain (Optional): If restoring texture, press a grain mold or grain paper into the filler before or during curing the final coat.
  6. Add Color: Once fully coated and cooled, apply your Leather Dye Colorant to blend with the surrounding material.
⚠️ This filler is not sandable. Smooth application and optional grain matching are essential for best results. Not compatible with our Aniline Dye.
