Aniline leather dye is a true leather stain, penetrating into the leather. The aniline leather dye enhances the color of the leather and allows you to see the natural grain and marking of the leather. Leather aniline dye is designed to restore color and sheen to worn and faded leather without changing the feel.
Aniline Leather Dye
Water-based dye for Aniline leather types
Do not use on Semi-Aniline or Aniline Leather with a wax finish without first removing the protective coating or wax.
Leather World Technologies Aniline Leather Dyes have excellent color brightness, clarity and transparency. Our Aniline Leather Dye is formulated to enhance the color of the leather and allow for you to see the natural graining and markings in your leather. These aniline dyes are designed to restore color and sheen to your worn or sun faded aniline leather without changing the feel.
Leather World Technologies recommends a light coat once a year to maintain superior color brightness. We also recommend that you condition your aniline leather 1-2 times per year to maintain the proper moisture level in in your leather to maintain softness, feel, flexibility, and color brightness.
Warning: Do not use on Semi-Aniline or Aniline Leather with a wax finish without first removing the protective coating or wax.
Always pre-test color in an inconspicuous area to ensure color match. Clean Leather with Leather Cleaner and/or Leather Degreaser if needed for body oil based staining
Apply Leather Conditioner to revitalize the leather and to get the moisture level up within the leather to maximize the effectiveness of Aniline Dye.
Shake dye well and apply color with a soft cloth in a light circular motion making sure to coat the leather to a break or seam and allow for the leather to dry. Note: You can speed up the drying time with a hair dryer to see the color change and repeat the color and drying process until the desired color is reached. Dyeing Aniline Leather is like staining wood, you get your darker and brighter colors with multiple coats.
After Care Recommendations: Apply Leather Protection Cream for extra protection against water based and oil based staining or soiling.
For extremely dry and faded leather, mix 50/50 Aniline Dye with Leather World Hydrating Cream and apply to the leather.
On Nubuck/Suede leather, spray light coats and brush dye into leather. Apply Nubuck Protectant after recoloring.
- If there is staining present in the leather, re-coloring may blend it out or it could make the stain more prevalent.
- Removing staining prior to re-coloring will allow for the finishing coat to be more of an even color. Oil based staining must be removed with Leather Degreaser before recoloring
- For leather that has reached the severe fade level or has become dry, we recommend mixing the Hydrating Cream with the Aniline Dye and applying these products together. This is also a good way to add color in with each treatment of conditioner for regular maintenance once a year.
- If you have a different type of staining other than oils then please contact us to discuss possible cleaning solutions.

I have a Corbin seat in the Indian tan, but it started oranging/yellowing. Couple of lite coats of the dye, and the seat looks deeper, richer in color. Big improvement.
Ordered bottle of aniline dye to recondition sofa for customer. Results exceeded expectations!
I ordered the wrong color so I called customer service and spoke to Steve who was excellent he advised me to get a paint chip of the correct color and return with the dye and he would prepare the correct color for me. I received a new bottle and it was perfect. I recommend this company their customer service is excellent
Thus far I've tested it lightly, but it did work to my satisfaction.
This is the second or third time we have ordered this dye. Works well on our dark green leather couch.
I was hoping to restore a badly faded leather sofa so ordered aniline dye. It arrived sooner than expected, went on beautifully, and my twenty year old leather sofa looks great!
We have two "Stressless" Recliners that the Navy Blue leather had faded and been worn in spots. Used the Navy Blue Aniline Dye on them and we are very pleased with the results. While they might not look like they are new they look very good and we are pleased with the results. Before I had purchased the dye I had talked to Sandy and she was very helpful. We would definitely recommend Leather World.
Thanks for the credit.
Other than I had to dab on 12 coats, it looks nice and easy to do.
