How It Works

  1. Mail a Sample

    Use the request form to tell us about your leather and project. For best accuracy, mail a 2×2" swatch (1×1" acceptable if needed).

  2. We Formulate Your Color

    Our techs analyze sheen, hue, value, chroma, and undertone, then create a precise color-matched dye after your order is placed.

  3. Delivered, Ready to Apply

    Receive your matched dye or complete kit with instructions and expert support.

Sample Prep & Mailing Tips

  • Preferred swatch size: 2×2" (1×1" or thumbnail-size acceptable).
  • Furniture: check beneath cushions, inside seams, or hidden areas for excess leather to trim.
  • Automotive: look under front seats, at back seats, inside seat pockets, or removable headrests/trim (include a note so we can return them).
  • Alternatively, you may send a paint chip.

Note: Your sample may differ from the repair area due to fading/wear; we match to the sample received.

What we can’t match
We cannot match two-tone or multi-colored pigmented leathers, and we cannot match to photos (email or printed). A physical sample is required.

Color Matching FAQ

How accurate is the match?
Extremely accurate. We evaluate sheen, hue, value, and undertone against your sample, then fine-tune under multiple lighting conditions. The dye is applied to your sample during mixing for the best comparison.
Do I need to send a physical sample?
Yes. Our techs need a physical piece to apply the color-matched dye during mixing. We are unable to match to pictures—digital or physical.
What’s the turnaround time?
Most matches are formulated within a few business days after your order has been placed. Shipping times depend on your location.
Will the color hold up?
Yes—our systems are designed for excellent adhesion or absorption and wear resistance when applied per instructions. We include prep/finish guidance with every order.
Can you tweak the shade after I receive it?
If you need adjustments, contact support with photos under daylight. We’ll guide minor tweaks or ask you to send the dye back for a remix.
