Work Leather Cleaner into a foam as much as possible. Apply to all areas that will be re-colored using a swift circular motion. Blot away any residue and allow the Leather Cleaner to dry. Depending on how dry the leather has become, the cleaner may dry almost immediately. This is a sign of dehydration from the leather. If your leather cleaner is drying fast, you can then mist the leather with distilled water or apply leather conditioner to get some moisture back into the leather. This product is designed as a general Leather Cleaner and will help with most water based staining. If you have stains in the leather from Body Oils, this product will not remove them. You will need the Leather Master Degreaser product to remove any protein based stains.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eSTEP 2 - Condition the Leather:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eStart by applying 1-2 light coats of the Leather Hydrating Cream. Allowing each coat to absorb in and dry. This will get some moisture and natural oils back into the leather to help it hold the color and regain the soft and supple feel of natural leather. This step is necessary in leather's that have reached a severe fade level from the original color or has become dry.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eSTEP 3 - Recolor the Leather\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eUsing the other enclosed sponge or a lint free cloth, wipe on 2-4 light coats of the Aniline Leather Dye. The dye will absorb into the leather and mix and react with what is currently there. You will want to allow the leather to dry in between each coat of Aniline Dye which is approximately 1 hour. Once you get the final coat of dye on then allow 24 hours of dry time before use. Then apply protection cream or hydrating cream to the finished leather.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eSTEP 4 - Protecting the Leather (Recommended):\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eWith a Leather Protection Cream, apply 1-2 light coats of protection cream to the leather's surface. This will absorb into the leather allowing some stain resistance to most water based soiling. This will also add so richness to the final color coat. For general maintenance Aniline leather should be cleaned and protected 2-6 times per year. This will be determined by the use of the leather.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eSTEP 5 - Buffing the Leather\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eUsing the buffing cloths, just simply buff the top surface of the re-colored leather. Make sure the filler is level with both pieces of leather. For deeper scratches that are not torn through the leather, Leather World Base Coat has more solids and can be used to build up the leathers finish to even it out.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eSTEP 4 - Applying the Color:\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eTest the color first in an inconspicuous area before you start dyeing your repair to make sure the color matches. The Dye Colorant can be applied by spraying or using the enclosed sponge. Make sure all adjoining areas are cleaned around the outer edges of the repair area. Put dye in sprayer or on sponge and apply LIGHT coats to the leathers surface. It will take between 2-4 coats of the leather dye to fully achieve the color of the dye. You will want to allow 4-6 hours of dry time between each coat and 24 hours of dry time after the final coat before use. You may use a hair dryer to speed up dry time. If the area is not completely smooth you can add another coat of Leather Filler or Base Coat before applying the next coat of Dye Colorant.
