STEP 1 - Clean the Leather:
Apply Leather Cleaner to one of the enclosed sponges. Work Leather Cleaner into a foam as much as possible. Apply to all areas that will be re-colored using a swift circular motion. Blot away any residue and allow the Leather Cleaner to dry. Depending on how dry the leather has become, the cleaner may dry almost immediately. This is a sign of dehydration from the leather. If your leather cleaner is drying fast, you can then mist the leather with distilled water or apply leather conditioner to get some moisture back into the leather. This product is designed as a general Leather Cleaner and will help with most water based staining. If you have stains in the leather from Body Oils, this product will not remove them. You will need the Leather Master Degreaser product to remove any protein based stains.
STEP 2 - Condition the Leather:
Start by applying 1-2 light coats of the Leather Hydrating Cream. Allowing each coat to absorb in and dry. This will get some moisture and natural oils back into the leather to help it hold the color and regain the soft and supple feel of natural leather. This step is necessary in leather's that have reached a severe fade level from the original color or has become dry.
STEP 3 - Recolor the Leather
Using the other enclosed sponge or a lint free cloth, wipe on 2-4 light coats of the Aniline Leather Dye. The dye will absorb into the leather and mix and react with what is currently there. You will want to allow the leather to dry in between each coat of Aniline Dye which is approximately 1 hour. Once you get the final coat of dye on then allow 24 hours of dry time before use. Then apply protection cream or hydrating cream to the finished leather.
STEP 4 - Protecting the Leather (Recommended):
With a Leather Protection Cream, apply 1-2 light coats of protection cream to the leather's surface. This will absorb into the leather allowing some stain resistance to most water based soiling. This will also add so richness to the final color coat. For general maintenance Aniline leather should be cleaned and protected 2-6 times per year. This will be determined by the use of the leather.
STEP 5 - Buffing the Leather
Using the buffing cloths, just simply buff the top surface of the re-colored leather. You will want to use light pressure when buffing the leather.
Tips:
- If there is staining present in the leather, re-coloring may blend it out or it could make the stain more prevalent.
- Removing staining prior to re-coloring will allow for the finishing coat to be more of an even color.
- In Leather that has reached the severe fade level or has become dry, we recommend mixing the Hydrating Cream with the Aniline Dye and applying these products together.
- If you have a different type of staining other than oils then please contact us to discuss possible cleaning solutions.

aniline leather recoloring kit
This is a great kit for refreshing your leather furniture. Very easy to use. We are very happy with the match of the color we picked. It looks like I have new couches again!

Aniline Leather Recoloring Kit
The chairs turned out great. I restored two quite expensive leather aniline chairs that had some small scratches and a very faded finish. The dye wasn't quite the same color as the original. The chairs now have a bit of a reddish tint but they look like brand new! The color change dosen't really matter as they don't need to exactly match anything else.
I did add a little brown paste shoe polish before applying your protection cream. This extra step made the scratches completely disappear. The protection cream did make the leather a little stiffer. I did like the softer original feel a little better. No complaints though. They should be good for another 50 years! -

Dark brown and perfect
Bought analine dark brown for my Ashely millenium north shore sofas. The process was super easy and fun and I got 1 sofa completely finished in about 1 hour. The color was perfect and came out rich. I was skeptical at first when I bought it but I highly recommend it!!!!!

Redying Leather Ottoman
The dying process was a little more difficult than I thought because this ottoman had 2 colors...dark brown on top and a burnish gold undercoat. When I cleaned and preped the leather, the brown color came off and left the burnish gold with brown in the cracks and creases. The process I used really did totally cover up the wear and tear which I wanted to cover up. The color just ended up a little different...

My couch is like new again
I purchased the LeatherWorld 32oz analine restoration kit to recolor and condition my couch and it came out great. The products are easy to use but takes some time to go thru the steps. Make sure to protect your floors with a large tarp before starting.
